98.5 The Sports Hub Set for Thursday Debut

The Boston sports radio world will get another competitor on Thursday when 98.5 The Sports Hub, WBZ-FM, hits the airwaves. The CBS Radio station will be the new home to some of the more popular names in Boston sports and will serve as the radio home for the Boston Bruins and New England Patriots.

Michael Felger and Tony Massarotti will kick off the station's debut at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, leading into the Patriots pregame show at 4 p.m., which airs before the Patriots' preseason opener that starts at 7:30 p.m.

Fred Toucher and Rich Shertenlieb will host the morning show on the station from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., followed by Gary Tanguay and Scott Zolak in the midday from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.

Felger and Massarotti will host the afternoon drive program from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., leading into Damon Amendolara, who will be on from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Beginning Thursday morning at 3 a.m., the station will play Boston sports highlights until Felger and Massarotti open at 1 p.m.
