What’s better than watching Celtics guard Ray Allen hit nylon with that smooth stroke from deep behind the arc?

How about watching it for at least one more season following the end of his contract in 2010?

According to a rumor in the Boston Globe, the guard’s teenage daughter Tierra, who lives with her mother in South Carolina, may be moving in with her father in Wellesley and attend Wellesley High School. Tierra, who is entering her junior year, is a basketball and volleyball player. She may be making the move soon because volleyball season starts next week.

One may ask: Why would Allen’s daughter be moving in with her father for just her junior year of high school? Does Allen plan to seek and receive an extension so that Tierra can graduate from WHS in 2011?

The Globe’s Peter May reports:

“Ray Allen’s contract is up at the end of the season and Celtics president Danny Ainge reports that no serious talks have taken place regarding an extension. But there is considerable chatter in Wellesley, where Allen lives, that his teenage daughter may move in with him. Tierra Allen has lived with her mother in South Carolina and plays volleyball and basketball in high school. She would be a junior at Wellesley High (and why would she come if dad wasn’t planning on playing beyond this year? Just an observation).”

Allen is entering his final season under contract with the C’s and is due to make $19.8 million.
