Bills' Leodis McKelvin's Lawn Vandalized After Fumble Against Patriots When Leodis McKelvin caught the Patriots' kickoff in the end zone with a little less than two minutes remaining in Monday night's season opener, he chose to run it back instead of taking a knee. After he fumbled on the 31-yard line seconds later, it became a decision that will haunt him for some time.

Now, thanks to some feisty Buffalo fans, he has a visual reminder right on his front lawn.

After the Bills dropped a heartbreaking 25-24 contest to New England on Monday night, the cornerback's lawn in suburban Buffalo was vandalized to portray the score of the game in white spray paint, according to ESPN.com.

Hamburg police investigated the matter and declined to release details but did report that an obscenity was written on the lawn as well.

When McKelvin fumbled, the Bills were leading 24-19 and likely needed a first down or two to ensure victory. Instead, McKelvin's fumble — recovered by Patriots kicker Stephen Gostkowski — allowed New England to overcome an 11-point deficit with just over two minutes remaining.
