Rodney Harrison Thinks Patriots Will Struggle Against Tony Gonzalez

The Patriots know that they'll have their hands full with the likes of Matt Ryan and Roddy White coming to town on Sunday, but one former member of New England's secondary thinks the Falcons' newest addition will be the biggest problem to contain.

"I see the
Patriots defense struggling to contain tight end Tony Gonzalez, I'm not
sure who will be able to cover him on consistent [basis]," said Rodney Harrison (on his Twitter page, of course).

He should know what he's talking about. Covering a problematic tight end used to be Harrison's role in the defensive backfield, often going one-on-one against the likes of Antonio Gates, Jason Witten, or Dallas Clark whenever a tight end was a major part of the opponents' game plan.

Harrison also expressed some concerns over the Patriots' running game.

"[Laurence] Maroney hasn't shown me he can make a decision and go with it yet, he has improved slightly but i still don't see it," he wrote.

Part of this may be Harrison proving his own point from before the season that he wouldn't shy away from criticizing his former teammates. At the same time, it's hard to argue that he doesn't have a point.
