Bruins Acquire Winger Daniel Paille From Sabres For Two Draft Picks
The Bruins have made a move in an attempt to fill the hole left by Milan Lucic and his broken finger by acquiring winger Daniel Paille from the Sabres in exchange for Boston’s third-round pick in 2010 and a conditional fourth-round pick in 2010.
The 6-foot, 200-pound Ontario native has appeared in 195 career games in the NHL -- all with Buffalo -- and has potted 35 goals and 42 assists for 77 points to go with 54 penalty minutes. Paille's best year came in 2007-08, when he notched career highs in goals (19) and assists (16) and registered a plus-9 rating in 77 games.
Originally drafted by the Sabres in the first round (20th overall) of the 2002 NHL draft, the 25-year-old Paille has played in just two games this year and recorded one assist for Buffalo.
