Milan Lucic will have to wait a little longer to make good on the three-year contract extension he recently signed. The Bruins placed Lucic on long-term injured reserve with a broken finger on Sunday and recalled forwards Guillaume Lefebvre, Brad Marchand and Vladimir Sobotka from the Providence Bruins.

Lucic broke his finger in the Bruins' 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars on
Friday. He had three assists in his first six games of the season
before the injury. On Oct. 6, Lucic signed three-year extension with
the Bruins that will keep him with the club through the 2012-13 season.

After being sent back to Providence on Sunday morning on an emergency basis, Lefebvre was recalled to Boston. He made his debut with the Bruins on Saturday in Phoenix in the team's 4-1 loss to the Coyotes.

Marchand was assigned to Providence on Sept. 28 following a successful preseason stint with the Bruins. In six games with Providence, he has scored six goals and notched two assists.

Sobotka has spent the last two seasons shuttling between Boston and Providence, playing in 73 games in the NHL over that time. In 10 games with Providence this season, Sobotka has four goals and six assists.
