The Celtics were far from 100 percent when they finished last season, and they may not be there for the beginning of this season.

Glen Davis missed practice on Monday and was sent to have X-rays on his hand, according to boston.com.

"We sent him for X rays," Doc Rivers told the Web site. "He was complaining about it before [practice]."

Ray Allen, who Rasheed Wallace announced is a bleeder, took five stitches in his forehead after taking an inadvertent elbow from Kendrick Perkins at Saturday's practice, according to the site.

The season opens on Tuesday night at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland against LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
