Sisterhood Serves No. 8 BC Women's Soccer Well

BC Women's Soccer The Boston College women's soccer team is a bit more special than usual this year -- and not just because it is ranked No. 8 in the nation.

The Eagles' top two leading scorers this year knew each other long before they arrived in Chestnut Hill.

"Sometimes I yell at [Victoria] a little bit more than others because she's my sister," senior Gina DiMartino told NESN's John Carchedi on Wednesday's edition of SportsDesk. "I know she can take it."

Their sisterhood certainly seems to have served them well on the soccer field; many can attest to the fact that their mental connection puts them one step ahead of everyone else.

"We know what move one of us will do [next]," freshman Victoria DiMartino said.

Added head coach Alison Kulik, "They are just telepathic out there."

What's more, the chemistry between Victoria and Gina seems to have caught on with the rest of the team. Now, they're all feeling a little bit of an extra connection.

"Our chemistry is unreal," Victoria said.

Added Gina, "On and off the field, we're just a very close team."
