Milan Lucic's original diagnosis had him out of the Bruins' lineup for four to six weeks. Not surprisingly, the 21-year-old is aiming for the former.
Lucic told ESPNBoston.com that he is "hopeful" he can join the Bruins as early as Nov. 19, when the Bruins travel to Atlanta to open a four-game road trip.
Lucic told the Web site that he had an X-ray with positive results on his broken right index finger.
