Patriots' Patrick Chung Fined For Helmet to Helmet Hit on Chad Henne It didn't take Patriots rookie Patrick Chung long to get his first NFL fine.

According to The Boston Globe, the cornerback was slapped with a $7,500 bill after receiving a roughing the passer penalty for a helmet to helmet hit on Chad Henne in the Patriots' 27-17 victory over Miami on Sunday. Photos of the hit show Henne's head snapping back in a somewhat gruesome way.

The fine is bound to hit Chung harder than some of his teammates; according to Mac's Football Blog, his base salary is $310,000 per year, so the fine will rob him of roughly 41 percent of his weekly salary. He did, however, receive a $2 million signing bonus and a $75,000 roster bonus, so he should be able to get by.

The Oregon product has played in six games this season and has registered nine tackles, one pass deflection, one interception and two sacks.
