Tim Thomas, Michael Ryder Come Up Huge for Bruins in Shootout
Tim Thomas let in a soft goal in the final minute of regulation that allowed the Senators to tie the game. After coming up with three saves in the overtime period, Thomas stopped Alexei Kovalev, Jason Spezza and Daniel Alfredsson in the shootout.
Nobody scored for the Bruins in the first three rounds, and in stepped Michael Ryder. The forward sniped the top corner on Brian Elliot's glove side to give the B's a 1-0 advantage. Thomas then stopped Mike Fisher to give the B's the extra point.
