Bruins Recall Defensemen Adam McQuaid, Andy Wozniewski

Following Monday’s demoralizing 3-1 loss to the Flyers, the Bruins are making some changes.

General manager Peter Chiarelli announced on Tuesday that Boston has recalled defensemen Adam McQuaid and Andy Wozniewski, both on an emergency basis. The players will join the Bruins at Wednesday morning’s practice.

McQuaid, 23, has played in 29 games for the P-Bruins and has registered three goals and seven assists for 10 points with 66 penalty minutes. McQuaid was traded from the Columbus Blue Jackets to the Bruins in 2007.

Wozniewski has played in 29 games for Providence this season and has tallied six goals and 17 assists for 23 points. Last season, he split time beteween the AHL affiliates of the Penguins and the Blues. In 77 career NHL games with St. Louis and Toronto, Wozniewski has registered two goals and 10 assists for 12 points. He signed with Boston on Sept. 9, 2009.

In addition, forward Milan Lucic was officially placed on injured reserve.
