Charlie Jacobs, Tom Werner Enjoy the Sights at First Skate at Fenway (Video)
The Winter Classic is good for more than just the NHL. It's a way of bringing baseball and hockey together, and never was that more apparent than during Friday's first skate at Fenway Park.
The Bruins' Charlie Jacobs and the Red Sox' Tom Werner chatted with NESN's Tom Caron as they skated amongst Bruins legends at America's most beloved ballpark.
How many ticket requests has Jacobs gotten now that the Winter Classic is in Boston? Too many to count. And Werner may not be hearing "Sweet Caroline" echoing through the ballpark come Jan. 1, but he knows the city of Boston is in for one of its most memorable sports events when the Flyers come to town to face the Bruins on New Year's Day.
