Red Sox Invite 11 Players to Rookie Development Program

In an early sign of the spring, the Red Sox announced that 11 players have been invited to their annual Rookie Development Program in January.

Right-handed pitchers Casey Kelly, Randor Bierd, Kyle Weiland, Junichi Tazawa, Ryne Miller, lefty pitcher Felix Doubront, catcher Luis Exposito, shortstops Jose Iglesias, Yamaico Navarro, and outfielders Che Hsuan Lin and Ryan Kalish will be attending the event, according to WEEI.com.

The annual introduction begins Jan. 10. The program created for the young prospects to get familiar with the city, the coaching staff, the front office and the media.
