Rookie guard Lester Hudson is heading home.

The Memphis Grizzlies claimed Hudson off of waivers on Friday, bringing him back to where he played both high school and community college hoops.

Hudson was released earlier this week by the Celtics, who sent the 2009 draft pick to and from the NBA D League multiple times this season in an attempt to get him quality playing time with the Maine Red Claws.

The Celtics grabbed Hudson in the second round of the draft but played in just 16 games for Boston, averaging 1.4 points. He played at Central High and Southwest Tennessee Community College, both in Memphis, before attending Tennessee-Martin, where he was second in the nation in scoring during the 2008-09 season, averaging 27.5 points as a senior.
