Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthony Questionable for NBA All-Star Game As Sunday's NBA All-Star Game at Cowboys Stadium draws closer, the lineup is becoming more and more uncertain. Injuries have plagued the top players on the roster. Brandon Roy already has pulled out of the game, and Kobe Bryant, Paul Pierce and Carmelo Anthony remain question marks.

Roy pulled out of what would be his third All-Star appearance because of a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss 10 games. Clippers forward Chris Kaman will replace the Trailblazers' star in Dallas.

Bryant (ankle) is unsure he’ll be able to play in his 12th All-Star game, The Lakers’ star sat out Saturday's 99-82 victory over the Blazers. He is listed as day-to-day, but his absence was the first time he hasn’t played in 235 straight game and may be an indication he will won’t see much action in the Midseason Classic.

"Any time I've coached the All-Star Game, I always ask the players, 'How many guys are 100 percent healthy and want to play through this thing in a regular rotation?" Lakers coach Phil Jackson told the Los Angeles Times. "How many guys have nagging injuries and want to go limited minutes? And how many guys just want to make an appearance?'

"I've had all three categories, where guys say, 'I probably should get out there, but one rotation, six minutes is fine,' or 'I'm not doing well, I've got a bad ankle, whatever.' So you give them the option of what their health status is."

Pierce (foot) also is not giving a concrete yay or nay to the All-Star Game. The Celtics’ captain plans to "see how it feels" leading into the break, the Boston Herald reports.

Anthony (ankle) has missed seven games in a row, but hopes to return to the court Tuesday, when the Nuggets face the Mavericks. Denver is 6-5 this season without Anthony. If his injury keeps the forward from playing this week, he has openly said he would not participate in the All-Star Game.

"I wouldn't do that," Anthony told the Denver Post. "I couldn't have people talking bad about me like that. I care about the All-Star Game, but I really care about my team first."
