The Bruins and Penguins have significant interest in Blue Jackets left wing Raffi Torres. According to a source, either the B’s or Pens could end up with him before the Winter Olympics roster freeze goes into effect at 3 p.m. ET on Friday.

Even if a deal doesn’t get done before the freeze, something still could be in the works.

The Columbus Post-Dispatch’s Aaron Portzline reports via Twitter that the Blue Jackets could move Torres after the break and before the March 3 trade deadline.

Torres has 17 goals and 11 assists through 57 games this season. In 415 career games, the eight-year NHL veteran has 96 goals and 78 assists.
