In 2009, President Barack Obama hit the nail on the head when he correctly chose No. 1 seed North Carolina to win it all in his NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament bracket, which he filled out live on ESPN.

This year, the commander in chief is picking a pair of No. 1 seeds (Kansas and Kentucky) and a pair of No. 2 seeds (Kansas State and Villanova) to make a trip to the Final Four in Indianapolis. Obama then has Bill Self’s Kanas Jayhawks topping John Calipari‘s Kentucky Wildcats in the championship game.

As for notable upsets, Obama has No. 13 Murray State defeating No. 4 Vanderbilt, No. 13 Siena eliminating No. 4 Purdue and No. 12 Cornell clipping No. 5 Temple in opening-round action.

The Men’s Tournament Challenge was the most popular bracket game in the nation in 2009, with a record 4.6 million brackets filled out. President Obama’s bracket ranked 903,125 overall, just above the 80th percentile in the ESPN Tournament Challenge.

Obama also took a stab at the 2010 Women’s Basketball Tournament Final Four, choosing Connecticut, Notre Dame, Stanford and Tennessee.
