Comedian Jonah Hill Boasts His First Pitch Will Be 115 MPH
Despite the dreary weather Sunday, comedian Jonah Hill was excited to throw out the first pitch prior to the Red Sox-Rays game.
"I hope my pitch isn't the humor that you guys need," Hill said after Jade McCarthy suggested the star of Superbad could bring levity to the Red Sox.
Hill is making the rounds to promote Get Him to the Greek, a "fun, energetic, classic road comedy" according to Hill. The movie also stars Russell Brand, reprising his role of Aldus Snow from Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
Hill noted that even though he is right-handed, he will throw the pitch left-handed and will clock roughly 115 mph.
"It's a little overcast, but I'll try to bring the heat," Hill quipped.
Hill is also on pace to star as Oakland A's assistant manager Paul DePodesta in the film adaptation of the best-selling book Moneyball.Hill's parting words before he left to throw the first pitch was to inform the "wonderful, amazing people of Boston" to blame NESN's Jade McCarthy if his throw goes awry.
