David Krejci Excited to Have Marc Savard Back in Lineup for Flyers Series
The Bruins beat the Sabres to earn their second straight trip to the Eastern Conference semifinals, and on Friday, B's center David Krejci joined Tom Caron on Red Sox Gameday Live to discuss Boston's resurgence.
The sixth-seeded Bruins managed to avoid a Game 7 in Buffalo in just six games.
"We tried to everything not to go back [to Buffalo for a Game 7]," Krejci said. "I think we did a pretty good job in Game 6."
The B's open their second-round series against the Flyers at the TD Garden on Saturday. The series is filled with storylines, but perhaps the biggest is Savard's imminent return to the lineup.
Savard has not played since March 7, and Krejci is just one of many B's players excited about his return.
"He's one of our best players," Krejci said. "Hopefully, he's gonna bring some more offense."
Philadelphia poses yet another challenge to a Bruins team that has dealt with plenty of adversity this season. Krejci understands that adversity is part of the game.
"Everybody plays hard and plays the game the way we're supposed to play," Krejci said. "We've had so many injuries, but we can't worry about it. It is what it is."
Check out what else Krejci had to say below.
