Bobby Orr Says Prospect Taylor Hall Would Be Great Fit With Bruins On Monday, following the unveiling of a bronze statue of him flying through the air after scoring the 1970 Stanley Cup-winning goal, Bobby Orr was asked about top NHL draft prospect Taylor Hall of the Windsor Spitfires (OHL). Many Bruins fans would love to see Peter Chiarelli call Hall to the podium in Los Angeles on June 25 with the second overall pick in the upcoming draft.

Orr's agency, "Orr Hockey Group," represents Hall, who has scored 123 goals and had 280 points in 183 regular-season games (and another 76 points in 44 playoff games) with the Spitfires, leading them to back-to-back OHL championships this season and last. Hall also won the Memorial Cup with Windsor last spring.

"He's a heck of a player, he'd be a great Bruin," Orr said of his client. "Taylor is a great kid and he's a very good player. But right now we have no idea what Edmonton, [which owns the No. 1 pick], is doing. It will be [Tyler] Seguin or Taylor Hall."

According to sources out of Edmonton, the Oilers remain very undecided on whether to draft Hall or Seguin with the No.1 pick overall. Lately, however, they have been leaning toward the sniper Hall, despite the fact they Seguin, a center, could improve the Oilers, who are weak up the middle with minimal organizational depth at the position. But if they went the other way and took Seguin, Orr knows that the Bruins, media and fans would love to see the Kingston, Ontario, native who grew up cheering for the Bruins.

"I know Taylor loves the Bruins, always has," Orr said. "You guys would like Taylor Hall. But Seguin is a good player too, no disrespect to Seguin. [They are] two very good players — a winger and centerman — so right now we have little communication on which way the Oilers are going to go."
