English soccer fans are accustomed to long droughts. After all, they haven’t seen their beloved national team capture a World Cup since 1966.

But according to The Mirror, 12 percent of fans would be willing to endure an equally excruciating dry spell if England won the Cup in South Africa: one year without sex.

They didn’t stop there. One-third said they’d sacrifice the year to domestic chores, and 51 percent said they’d pass up a night with Cheryl Cole.

They really love their soccer across the pond.
