Portland Trailblazers swingman Rudy Fernandez apparently wants out of Oregon, and the Blazers are fine with that.

Even after unloading Travis Outlaw this offseason, the Blazers have a glut of talent at the shooting guard and small forward positions. First-round picks Luke Babbitt and Elliot Williams fit that bill, as do star Brandon Roy, the talented Nicholas Batum, and recent acquisition Wesley Matthews. Fernandez and the Blazers feel that he doesn't figure into the team's future.

According to the Oregonian, agent Andy Miller has said that the Blazers are actively seeking a trade for Fernandez and that the Bulls, Celtics, and Knicks are the most likely suitors.

Chicago worked out Tracy McGrady on Monday. Reports indicate that Chicago was underwhelmed with his performance and they have not offered T-Mac a deal. Fernandez, it seems, may be Plan B.

The Spaniard was named to the All-Rookie Second Team in 2008-2009, in which he set a rookie record with 159 3-point baskets, but he averaged just 8.1 points per game last season.

The Celtics would likely have to give up a future first-round pick to acquire Fernandez, but he would be a significant upgrade over Marquis Daniels at his position on the bench.
