Football Clubs Invade Revamped Fenway Park

Football at Fenway Sporting Clube de Portugal and Celtic Football Club got their first look at Fenway Park and were able to try out the makeshift pitch Tuesday night ,a day before the Fenway Football Challenge hits Boston.

The two European clubs will take the field Wednesday night at 8 p.m. The Red Sox welcomed the two teams to the Fens and both squads are excited and honored to get a chance to play in historic Fenway Park.

"It's an honor for us," said Francisco Costa, the Sporting CP director of football. "For Sporting, that's an important club in Portugal, being invited to play in this fantastic stadium is a great honor."

"It's one of the most famous stadiums in the world," Celtic manager Neil Lennon said. "For the team to be here in such a great situation, in a great arena with the history and the tradition of this place is fantastic."
