Rajon Rondo Not Intimidated by Miami Heat’s Terrific Trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh

The Miami Heat is the talk of the NBA, but Celtics guard Rajon Rondo isn’t impressed. Not yet, at least.

Rondo recently told Yahoo Sports that he isn’t intimidated by a team that hasn’t shown they can play together.

"They should be good, but they ain’t done nothing yet," Rondo told Yahoo after a Team USA minicamp practice. "They ain’t done nothing."

When the Celtics assembled their Big Three in Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce, the team chemistry was right on the money. But Allen has said it took almost the full season to truly click.

Whether James, Wade and Bosh can come together as an immediate success is yet to be seen.

"Miami looks really good on paper, and I’m sure they’re going to be really good. But they still have to come together as a team," Rondo said. "I’m not saying they won’t, but who knows if those guys can jell?

"It depends on those three guys [James, Wade and Bosh] in particular, how they accept their roles," Rondo added. "Things aren’t going to go each guy’s particular way. It’s going to be about how they handle it as gentlemen."

Rondo is less concerned about the Miami trio of stars, than he is about Kobe Bryant and the Lakers, who eliminated the Celtics in the 2010 NBA Finals.

"I’m worried about L.A.," Rondo said. "That’s the team we need to beat."

After leading the Finals 3-2 and losing a 13 point lead in the second half of Game 7, Rondo is still disappointed that the Celtics came up short. But the confident point guard looks forward to working toward winning another championship.

"It’s always going to be something that is going to stick in my memory," Rondo said. "You can’t forget it unless you erase it with another ring."
