Earlier in the week, Nate Robinson and the Celtics were reportedly "close" to a new deal. On Friday, they've appeared to have reached an agreement.

Robinson will sign a contract with the Celtics, according to Marc Spears of Yahoo Sports. On his Twitter page, Robinson posted the cryptic Tweet: "#nowplaying: welcome back – by mase."

Robinson played 26 regular-season games with Boston before seeing action in 17 playoff games. After coming to Boston in the trade that sent Eddie House to the Knicks, Robinson scored 6.5 points and made two assists per game in the regular season in 14.7 minutes. In the playoffs, he scored just 4.2 points per game, but he put on a show in the clinching Game 6 of the Eastern Conference finals, when he hit a pair of big 3-pointers on his way to scoring 13 points in 13 minutes.
