What Will Red Sox Do Before Saturday's Trade Deadline? Cue the music: It's the most wonderful time of the year.

Yes, the MLB non-waiver trade deadline is just a day away, and with more than half the league in playoff contention, it's going to be an interesting one. It's a guarantee that there will be some action before the 4 p.m. deadline, but will the Red Sox be active?

It's a question that's been pondered for some time now, as the beaten and battered Red Sox slowly return to health. Victor Martinez returned this week and played in all three games in Anaheim, including a day game after a night game. Though they were rumored to have been interested in catcher Rod Barajas last week, it seems like they might be able to weather the storm until Jason Varitek can come back as Martinez's backup.

Jeremy Hermida also returned, and Jacoby Ellsbury is working his way back while rehabbing in Florida. Given how outfielders have dropped like flies this season, Terry Francona could probably use some insurance. Then again, with Darnell McDonald and Daniel Nava looking like big leaguers over the past few months, they may already have some.

On the infield, the Sox may be set, especially with the way Mike Lowell was mashing homers for Triple-A Pawtucket this week. The same goes for starting pitchers, as the Sox' rotation has been nothing short of dominant lately.

But then there is the bullpen. Like just about every team, the Sox could use a reliever. Yet getting one won't be easy, and given the appetite for bullpen arms, it's going to cost quite a bit to get one. Will Theo Epstein make a move that could make the difference this season?

It's all unpredictable, but what do you think? Will the Red Sox be active before the deadline as they have in the past, or will they sit tight and trust that full health will be all they need?
