Patriots cornerback Leigh Bodden and linebacker Gary Guyton have each suffered knee injuries, but neither are serious and it is believed that both players will return to the field soon, according to sources.

Bodden has missed two consecutive padded practices and a walkthrough since he tweaked his knee Thursday morning during one-on-one pass-rushing drills against running backs. Bodden slipped while trying to execute a spin move.

Guyton has missed seven consecutive padded practices and two walkthroughs since hurting his left knee last Sunday afternoon during 11-on-11 drills. He was dropping back into coverage when he slipped and hurt his knee.

Both players are integral pieces of the Patriots' defense, and it's good news that their respective injuries aren’t serious, particularly after the team found out offensive lineman Nick Kaczur has a serious back injury.

While absent, rookie cornerback Devin McCourty and rookie linebacker Brandon Spikes have stepped in and received an increased amount of reps at practice.
