Milan Lucic Feeling Healthy, Takes Aim at Fenway Park's Green Monster
Last season was a tough one for Milan Lucic. The Bruins winger missed a good chunk of time battling a finger injury and a high ankle sprain, but his rehab is progressing nicely. It's going so well in fact, that he's trying his hand at baseball.
Lucic joined Tom Caron on the set of Red Sox Gameday Live before Monday's game and talked about how eager he is to get back to the ice for the Bruins.
"I've been working on getting in real good shape to prevent any injuries that may be coming up," Lucic said of his offseason rehab and workouts. "I'm real excited, real anxious for things to start up and do whatever I can to make the most of it."
The 22-year-old took batting practice at Fenway Park earlier in the day in preparation for his charity softball game. The "Rock & Jock Celebrity Softball Game" is scheduled for Thursday at LeLacheur Field in Lowell.
First pitch is slated for 7 p.m. and among those in attendance will be current Bruins like Tim Thomas, Shawn Thornton and David Krejci. Bruins great Ray Bourque will also be playing in the game.
Check out the video below for more on the game along with Milan Lucic's thoughts on the Bruins' offseason moves and his reaction to the Bruins opening their season in the Czech Republic.
