Who's going to sign Tracy McGrady?

We may finally have the answer.

While the Detroit Pistons are dispelling reports that they have already signed T-Mac to a deal, Detroit is considering offering McGrady a veteran-minimum deal similar to that given to Shaquille O'Neal by Boston.

McGrady has claimed that multiple teams have been interested with him, and he appeared close to signing with the Bulls a few weeks ago before the team balked at the deal after working him out.

It is unclear how T-Mac would fit in in Detroit in basketball terms, as they already have Ben Gordon, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Austin Daye at swingman positions.

Still, T-Mac would bring much needed star power to a team that lacks it, and may not be able to excite their fan base with much winning next year.

Pistons brass will meet with McGrady's representatives Monday, says David Aldridge.
