The Chicago White Sox won't be giving up any prospects for Manny Ramirez, which makes the deal a straight waiver claim, according to reports.

After USA Today's Bob Nightengale Tweeted that deal was official, Peter Gammons posted details, claiming that the "White Sox decided to eat Manny money in lieu of surrendering a prospect," via Twitter.

Just $3.8 million of Ramirez's $20 million contract remains. The White Sox will be heading to Boston Friday for a three-game series with the Red Sox, Ramirez's former club.
