Roberto Alomar Reportedly Threatens Wife With Knife During Domestic Dispute Former MLB All-Star Roberto Alomar has been served with a temporary injunction by his wife following a violent domestic dispute on Monday.

According to court records, Alomar and his wife, Maria Del Pilar, got into an heated argument that turned violent in their Tampa home Monday. Reports show that Alomar pushed his wife and threatened her with a knife at one point during the dispute. Del Pilar feared for her life after trying to push her husband off, and then called police. No arrest was made.

On Monday afternoon, police deputies served Alomar with a domestic violence injunction, which states he cannot come with 500 feet of her, attempt to contact or communicate with her and he must surrender any firearms and ammunition that he may have.

This is not the first domestic incident called by Del Pilar, and it's not even the first that involves a weapon. Since their July 1, 2009 marriage, Del Pilar has called the authorities twice on her husband to report domestic violence. Alomar has reportedly pushed her to the floor, and has pulled a knife on her in the past. Court records also show that he has threatened to kill her if she "told anyone of his behavior and secrets."

The couple have had no children together, but Del Pilar has a nine-year-old son from a previous relationship.

Alomar's temper was also an issue on the baseball diamond. Though his accolades (12-time All-Star, 10 Gold Gloves) outshine the incident, he will always be remembered for spitting in the face of umpire John Hirschbeck while playing with the Baltimore Orioles in 1996.
