Celtics to Hold Open Auditions for National Anthem Singers for 2010-11 Season

The Boston Celtics are looking for National Anthem singers and are opening their tryouts to the general public.

On Monday, Oct. 4, at the Hard Rock Cafe in Boston, there will be auditions to find the best talent in New England to sing or perform the National Anthem before 2010-11 home games. The Celtics are looking for talented groups, instrumentalists, children and other unique performers to try out for an opportunity to show their talent to the world. All auditions will be acapella with no provided accompaniments.

The auditions will take place from 12 to 5 p.m. with three celebrity judges from 1 to 2 p.m.

The celebrities are: singer-songwriter and TV personality Michael Bivins, singer-TV personality Ayla Brown and JAM’N 94.5 personality Melissa.

Contestants will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. Although the auditions are not open to the public, each contestant is allowed a limited amount of family and friends to attend.

So if you think you have what it takes, get to the Hard Rock Cafe on Monday to earn a chance to shine under the Garden lights.
