Exclusive Footage: Manny Ramirez Admits Blame for Past, Discusses Future Manny Ramirez
looked like a changed man on Friday as he and his new team waited out the rain at Fenway Park.

Though the game was postponed, reporters got a season’s worth of quotes from the unpredictable slugger, who sat down for several minutes to discuss his past, present and future.

Most notably, he accepted responsibility for the way he left Boston.

“I think everything was my fault,” he said. “But hey, you gotta be a real man to realize when you do wrong, and, hey, it was my fault, right?”

He also said that he apologized to Kevin Youkilis for the public fight the two had in the Red Sox’ dugout in the summer of 2008.

Ramirez also discussed his current situation with the White Sox.

“I’m blessed to be in this situation,” he said. “I could be in a worse situation. Look where I’m at now — I’m on a team that is trying to be in the playoffs. … I’m just taking it a day at a time and I’m just trying to play the game right now.”

Manny didn’t seem to be holding a grudge with the Dodgers, who essentially gave him away to the White Sox.

“If I’m a GM or I’m an owner, I would do the same thing,” he said, explaining that he couldn’t keep himself on the field.

He also wasn’t ready to count out the Red Sox for the postseason.

“The sky is the limit, man,” he said.”

Watch the entire conversation, including what Manny’s kids thought of his trade to Chicago, in the video from NESN Daily below.
