Orlando Magic shooting guard J.J. Redick has been working on more than just his basketball skills; he has been working on his rapping game.

Redick and teammate Ryan Anderson have been working on a hip-hop album that is set to be released in late 2010, according to Terezowens.com.

In an interview on YouTube, Redick explains that the name to the rap group is James Clay, James being Anderson’s middle name and Clay being Redick’s middle name.

In the interview, Redick explains that they have all the verses and beats done but they are just waiting for the hook to come through in the songs. Then, they’ll release the album.

“The beat is sick man,” he tells the reporter who asked for the update on the first single. “It will get your head nodding.”
