Shaquille O'Neal, Will Ferrell Embrace for Memorable 'SNL' Duet We all know that Shaquille O’Neal can rap — or at least that he likes rapping — but have you ever heard the big man sing a love ballad?

On an episode of Saturday Night Live in 1998, Shaq and actor Will Ferrell embraced for an epic duet in which Shaq spent the majority of the time carrying the comedian.

“No one’s gonna hurt my little man as long as I’m around,” Shaq sang. “I do all I can to make people understand that he is special.”

Celtics fans are hoping he’ll be singing that this season, in reference to his new special little man, Rajon Rondo.

NESN.com will showcase one Moment of Shaq every day until the Celtics open the season against the Heat on Oct. 26 at the TD Garden.

Sept. 2: Shaq stars in “Wedding Crashers II”
