Test Your Knowledge About Super Bowl XXXVIII’s Halftime Show Halftime shows are for teenie-boppers to enjoy the annual American holiday that is known as the Super Bowl, and for real football fans to give their eyes a rest, get some fresh air and perhaps place an interesting second-half prop bet.

It’s a wonderful excuse to mesh pop culture and sports and the acts draw in more money and interest than imaginable. But who picks these acts?

The annual chosen band, group or artist has the eyes of the world watching their every move, hearing their every note and critiquing their every slip-up. Not one minor detail goes unnoticed, so one would imagine the exclusive request is carefully made so that the perfect act is chosen.

For Super Bowl XXXVIII, the committee apparently had trouble picking just one act so they threw a bunch of names in a hat and, well, pulled them all out. The result will go down in TV history.
