Patriots Defense Keeps 'Chipping at the Rock' All the Way to First Place

The Patriots knew early on this season that their defense was going to have to improve as the season progressed.
Well it has, and because of it, the Patriots are now in sole possession of first place in the AFC East. A strong showing on the defensive side of the ball paired with a Jets loss to Green Bay on Sunday afternoon puts the Pats in first place ahead of New York.
Sunday's performance was especially impressive in the way the Patriots were able to slow down Vikings receiver Randy Moss.
