Tedy Bruschi spent two seasons as a teammate of Randy Moss and 13 seasons as a New England Patriot, so he knows a thing or two about the way business is handled in Foxboro.

The former linebacker, now an analyst for ESPN, said Wednesday that Moss had become a problem for the team — so much so that if the Patriots had not been able to work out a trade, they may have simply cut him from the roster.

"What I'm hearing now is that in that locker there are some players frustrated with Randy," Bruschi said on SportsCenter. "There are some coaches frustrated with Randy.

"Inside of that locker room, internally, he's turning into the same player that he was towards the end of his tenure in Minnesota, in Oakland and now in New England," he said.

Bruschi, who was an instrumental part of the defense that helped win three Super Bowls, said that getting rid of Moss won't necessarily hurt Tom Brady and the offense. Bruschi said Monday's win was proof of that, noting that Brady didn't throw any deep balls and Moss had no catches.

"That's how they used to win those games when they were winning championships," Bruschi said.
