By Season's End, Who Will Be the Most Valuable Celtic Off the Bench? The men in green are red-hot through the first 10 games of the season.

But while the Celtics should be and likely are happy to be 8-2, these NBA elder statesmen have a long season ahead, meaning their bench will have a lot to do with where they stand at the final 10 games of the year.

The C’s have already seen promising play off the bench this season, especially out of Glen Davis, who averages 11.3 points in 31.1 minutes per game. Big Baby is joined by Nate Robinson (6.4 points per game) and Marquis Daniels (5.6 points in 17.1 minutes per game) as the only three bench players to make an appearance in all 10 contests thus far.

Joining the pine unit will be guard Delonte West, who just finished serving a 10-game suspension for offseason gun possession charges. West has averaged 10.0 points per game in his previous six seasons in the league and the 27-year-old distributor could be the best backup point guard this team has seen in the Big Three era.

Once starting center Kendrick Perkins returns to the lineup around the All-Star break, the C’s will have future Hall of Famer Shaquille O’Neal coming off the bench as well. Shaq will join Jermaine O’Neal (should he ever get healthy) as arguably the league’s best one-two center tandems off the bench.
