As expected, Delonte West went under the knife on Tuesday to repair his broken right wrist.

Yahoo Sports NBA columnist Marc Spears tweeted Tuesday afternoon that West's surgery was successful, but there was no timetable just yet for his return.

West injured the wrist last Wednesday, late in the first half of the Celtics' win over New Jersey, when he collided at the rim with Nets forward Travis Outlaw. Celtics coach Doc Rivers announced at the team's Monday practice in Waltham, Mass., that West would have the surgery.

West had a similar injury two seasons ago during his time with the Cleveland Cavaliers, missing 16 games between Jan. 15-Feb. 22, 2009.
