Celtics forward Glen "Big Baby" Davis is widely considered to be a character. On Tuesday, he will truly live up to that monniker.

Davis will be the main character of "Basketball With Big Baby," a children's book written by Lowell Spinners vice president John Goode and illustrated by Boston College student Rachel Gregorio.

The book's proceeds, which features Davis "as he spells out the word 'BASKETBALL' with different adjectives he believes in when playing the game he loves," will go to C2 Mission, a charitable organization benefitting children suffering from Cerebal Palsy and Cystic Fibrosis.

Davis will be at Lowell Beer Works in Lowell on Tuesday at an event promoting the book as well as raising money for C2. For a $25 donation, fans receive admission into the event as well as an autographed copy of the book.

Fans interested in attending are urged to call Goode at (978)805-5106 or e-mailing him at jgoode@lowellspinners.com to RSVP for the event.
