Rangers outfielder Josh Hamilton picked up 22 of 28 first-place votes en route to capturing the 2010 American League MVP award.
Hamilton led the AL with a .359 batting average and a .633 slugging percentage while belting 32 home runs and knocking in 100 runs to help the Rangers reach the World Series. He won the award despite missing 29 games with a bruised rib cage in September.
Miguel Cabrera, Robinson Cano, Jose Bautista and Paul Konerko rounded out the top five in voting while Boston's Adrian Beltre placed ninth.
The 29-year-old is the first Rangers player to win the award since Alex Rodriguez in 2003.
