Royals ace Zack Greinke apparently doesn’t like the Big Apple.

People close to the hurler tell SI’s Jon Heyman that there is no chance he would accept a trade to New York, according to a recent Twitter post by the baseball insider. The tweet doesn’t say which New York team the ace would deny.

The ace went 10-14 with a 4.17 ERA in 2010 — a far cry from his 16-8 record and league-best 2.16 ERA that he posted during his Cy Young season just two summers ago.

As per his partial trade clause, Greinke will hand the Royals a list of eight to 10 teams after the 2010 World Series to which he will not approve a trade.
