Stephen Colbert, David Stern Talk ‘The Decision,’ Basketball’s Popularity, Impending Lockout

Stephen Colbert had a burning question about the new NBA season — how much of this year is just going to be about LeBron [James] making up his mind again?

“Because that was such a highlight last year. You must be incredibly proud that that was the story of the year for the NBA last year,” he said in his conversation with NBA commissioner David Stern on Monday.

Stern, however, was ready for some lively conversation. He not only reminded Colbert that LeBron’s contract means his mind is made up for the time being, and even corrected Colbert when he said James took his talents to Miami — not South Beach.
