Report: Fausto Carmona Drawing Major Trade Interest Around MLB, Possibly From Yankees

If you didn't get a Cliff Lee and you don't want to overspend for a Zack Greinke, would you take a Fausto Carmona?

Several teams would be, according to Fox Sports' Jon Paul Morosi, and one of them just might be the Yankees.

Greinke has very publicly been painted as someone with no desire to pitch under the bright lights of Yankee Stadium, and with the Bombers' rotation nearly in shambles, Carmona could provide a very serious boost.

For now, though, the Indians aren't necessarily considering moving Carmona, as Morosi reported the team to be in "listen and explore" mode. The Tribe has seen Lee, CC Sabathia and Victor Martinez all move on from Cleveland in the past few years, so shipping out the best pitcher on the roster probably isn't a priority.

Carmona bounced back in a big way last year, going 13-14 with a 3.77 ERA in 210 1/3 innings. A Cy Young candidate in '07, he went 13-19 with a 5.89 ERA in '08 and '09 combined.
