Celtics fans revered Dennis Johnson for his tenacity and all-around contributions during his seven years in Boston. In a few years, fans across the NBA will likely see the Johnson family basketball lineage extended.

Nick Johnson is the nephew of the late Hall of Famer, and while he's always going to be linked to DJ, Nick is clearing himself quite the path at the high school level with Findlay Prep out of Las Vegas. The highly touted shooting guard was in Massachusetts over the weekend, taking part in the Hoophall Classic in Springfield.

According to MassLive.com, Nick Johnson — who wears No. 3 just like his uncle — reveled in the opportunity to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame — and pay tribute to his uncle's spot in basketball immortality following a 2010 posthumous induction.

The youngster described the opportunity as "great," and added, "Knowing he finally got in is definitely an honor for my family."

While some might not be old enough to remember Dennis Johnson's Hall of Fame career that included two NBA titles in Boston, his nephew is someone to keep an eye on.

Nick Johnson has committed to playing at the University of Arizona, and ESPNU ranks the 6-foot-3 shooting guard as the No. 23 prospect in the class of 2011. This past weekend in Springfield, Johnson averaged 18.5 points per game in two Findlay wins.
