Rex Ryan Takes Another Shot at Tom Brady, Says Peyton Manning Wouldn’t Have Attended Broadway Show

Rex Ryan might just be too loquacious for his own good.

The Jets' head coach inexplicably took a slight dig at Tom Brady last week, saying the Patriots' quarterback only "thinks" he studies more than Peyton Manning. It came out of the blue, particularly because the Jets weren't even playing the Patriots that week, but it wasn't really much.

Well, less than a week later, Rex hasn't learned any lessons. When he was told that Brady attended the Broadway play "Lombardi" on Saturday night — while the Jets and Colts were playing — Ryan said that's something Manning would never do.

"Peyton Manning would have been watching our game," Ryan said, according to Bob Glauber of Newsday.

Ryan wasn't so brazen when discussing counterpart Bill Belichick, saying, "I recognize that I'm never going to be a better coach than him — my job is to be a better coach than him this week."

Whether Ryan was joking about Brady on Broadway won't really matter, because he yet again yapped about a player on another team for no reason whatsoever. Win or lose, it'll be interesting to hear what he has to say on Sunday night around 8 p.m.
