Top 10 Injury-Prone Big Men in NBA History Include Greg Oden, Yao Ming If you’ve paid attention to the last three months in Boston, then you know all about the injury-prone nature of 7-foot-tall basketball players.

The Celtics’ center situation is a complete mess — Kendrick Perkins hasn’t yet played a minute, Jermaine O’Neal has just barely stayed off the operating table, and Shaquille O’Neal at times looks more fit for a nursing home than a basketball court.

But this is nothing new — the NBA has a long, prestigious history of big men being dogged by injuries.
