The Boston College women's basketball team is in Winston-Salem, N.C., for a Monday night Atlantic Coast Conference matchup against Wake Forest.

The 15-6 Eagles are coming off of a tough 102-93 loss to No. 21 Florida State University last Thursday, and they are looking to stop their two-game losing streak. The last two games mark the first time that the Eagles have lost back-to-back games all season, while the Demon Deacons, 10-12, are looking to put an end to their second four-game losing streak of the season.

Boston College is 2-4 in ACC play, while Wake Forest is at 1-5 in the ACC.

Seniors Stefanie Murphy and Carolyn Swords are key to BC beating Wake. Murphy is coming off one of her best collegiate games, scoring a career-high 30 points in the loss to FSU. She shot 11-for-21 from the field and 7-for-7 from the free-throw line. She averages 16.5 points per game, fifth in the ACC, and 8.5 rebounds, second in the ACC.

Leading the ACC in rebounds is her teammate, Swords, who averages 8.6 per game. The Eagles have outrebounded their opponents in 16 of 21 games this season. Swords also leads the country in field-goal percentage, shooting 70.9 percent, averaging over 17 points per game.

Freshman Kristen Doherty averages 9.7 points per game and leads the team in steals with 48.

A key to the Demon Deacons' success is sophomore Sandra Garcia, who scored a team-high 14 points in the loss to Maryland last Friday night. Garcia is second on the team in points with 10.2 per game, and she leads the team in rebounding with 5.4 per game.

Classmate Patrice Johnson scored a career-high 10 points in the last game, making two 3's, and freshman Chelsea Douglas is leading the team from behind the arc with 28 on the season. Douglas averages over 10 points per game.

Wake Forest has beaten BC in these teams last two meetings. Tonight's game will be broadcast live on NESN, with coverage starting at 7 p.m.
